Giving Opportunities:
Crusader Fund – The Holy Cross Catholic School Crusader Fund was established to help students with financial need participate in school sponsored activities that come at an additional cost for families. These activities include athletic programs, camp, field trips, and other opportunities available to our students.
Holy Cross Scholarship Fund – The Holy Cross Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance to families in financial need. Tuition assistance is made possible through the generosity of donors who believe in the value of a Holy Cross Catholic School education.
Planned Giving – Gifts that are planned or deferred allow donors to contribute assets to Holy Cross Catholic School in the future; this is in the form of bequests, charitable gift annuities, gifts of stock, life insurance, or charitable remainder trusts. Planned giving provides you with creative ways of giving that may also help you meet other financial objectives. Please consult your financial advisor or legal aid for specifics on how making a planned gift to Holy Cross Catholic School can help you and make a difference for our school.
Special Projects
School Safety – The Department of Homeland Security trained our teachers and staff in school safety best practices and assessed the safety of our building. They provided us with a report complete with suggestions on making our campus safer. Each of the safety measures we have implemented and plan to implement have come from the recommendations of the US Department of Homeland Security and the Marine City Police Department. Your support enables us to continue to implement those recommendations.
Playground Upgrades – With our growth in enrollment, more students are playing on our playground and we have the need for improvements! Here at Holy Cross, we have the mindset of “let them be little.” This can be seen each day when we have students from preschool to eighth grade playing outside on our playground. We want to add additional play equipment, expand the play area, and would love to add fencing to our playground area!
Annual Auction – Our annual school auction is our largest school fundraiser and helps our school budget significantly. Our school auction enables us to offset the cost of tuition and fund special school causes.
