Kindergarten Teacher
Holy Cross Catholic School is seeking a full-time Kindergarten Teacher beginning in August of 2024. Holy Cross Catholic School is the parish school to Our Lady on the River Parish and is located in beautiful downtown Marine City. We are nestled on a quiet peninsula across from the beautiful St. Clair River. Our school is home to about 150 students preschool through eighth grade. Responsibilities Include:
- Embodies and promotes the mission and vision of Holy Cross Catholic School
- Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Develops and implements a rigorous, standards-based curriculum
- Consistently creates a high level of active student engagement and student-led learning
- Develops and uses effective methods of evaluation that are directly related to curriculum objectives and to concepts and skills taught; consistently and effectively evaluate student progress
- Oversees the planning and implementation of the kindergarten classroom
- Establishes a classroom atmosphere of caring respect and appropriate expectations, which promotes self-direction and confidence; sets high standards for student behavior and manages inappropriate behavior effectively and respectfully.
- Communicates regularly with families and implements clear communication systems
- Cooperates with school administration; works effectively with all staff members to promote positive relationships with students and parents
- Completes additional operational and professional responsibilities and duties as needed
Requirements Include:
- Catechist Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
- Protecting God Children training or willingness to obtain
- Fingerprints and Background Check
- Current Michigan Teacher Certification

Middle School Social Studies and Math Teacher
Holy Cross Catholic School is seeking a full-time Middle School Teacher for social studies and math beginning in August 2024. However, this role can be split between two part-time teachers; one for social studies and one for math. Qualifications/Requirements
- 60 College Credits
- Must complete Criminal Background Check and Fingerprints
- Must complete Protecting God’s Children training (details provided when hired)
